Suki Tea's Fairtrade story
Having both wandered through Asia, Annie and Oscar’s eyes were opened to a world of really (really) good ethically-sourced teas, which they wanted to share with everyone. Launched with the aim to provide their customers with the finest loose leaf teas, herbal infusions and fruit blends from around the world; the pair made ethical sourcing their priority whilst delivering a quality and fresh product. And so it began...
Buying FAIRTRADE products help support the tea communities in the developing world, promoting decent working conditions and fair pay for the workers and farmers while supporting local sustainability. In 2015 73% of all tea sold by Suki Tea were Fairtrade, equating to a contribution to the local communities of 10’s of thousands of pounds annually. This is paid to smallholders and workers on Fairtrade-certified estates – money that was used to improve living and working conditions. Suki Tea have experienced first-hand how this transparent system works and how much it benefits the workers. Winners of over 30 Great Taste Award Stars and multiple industry awards Suki Tea truly is ‘Tea as it should be’.
