A part of any Licence Agreement with the Fairtrade Foundation, all registered operators (licensees, registered traders and subcontractors) must be able to meet and demonstrate compliance with the Fairtrade Trader Standards.
The documents herewith are the Trader Standard (as updated 1st September 2015), Guidance Notes against the Standards, a summary of the main changes from the Standards pre-1st September 2015, and two webcasts talking through the main changes affecting both Premium and non-Premium payer licensees.

From 1 September 2015 the standards linked below will come into force for all Fairtrade Foundation licensees (except for labour and environment requirements, which will be applicable as of 1 January 2017). Please ensure that you familiarise yourself with these standards.

If you are importing directly from the country of origin and/or are the Fairtrade payer you will also need to ensure compliance with the relevant Fairtrade International Standards.
