Fairtrade Climate Stories

Bring Fairtrade Climate Stories to your community, by hearing directly from the farmers themselves.

Farmers are at the heart of the climate crisis- the communities already facing extreme poverty due to unfair trade are feeling the worst effects of climate change and are having to foot the bill to combat climate change.

Farmers living with the reality of climate change know we need to tackle climate change. Climate justice calls for investment in the expertise of farmers who tackle the climate crisis every day.

Join in with Fairtrade Climate Stories to hear from Fairtrade Farmers Jaime from Colombia, John from Ghana and Marisol from Dominican Republic as the tell us how the climate crisis has affected them individually, and what actions they are taking to defend the planet one step at a time.

How to get involved

  1. Download the Fairtrade Spring Climate Stories resources. You can choose from watching the recording of our Climate Campaigns catch up, downloading the PowerPoint and script and giving the presentation yourself, and using the Fairtrade Climate Stories to share the voices of farmers and workers directly. Download the resources here.
  1. Use the resources to hold a meeting with your local Fairtrade community, or an assembly in your local Fairtrade school, and spread the word about how climate justice is integral for Fairtrade farmers and workers.
  1. Tell us if you’ve got involved through our online form. If you have any photos or local media of your local Fairtrade Climate meetings, please do share them with us at hello@fairtrade.org.uk.
