Fairtrade Fortnight 2020 ‘She Deserves’

Manchester, York, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Oxford will host special flagship community events this Fairtrade Fortnight (24 February-8 March 2020) that will feature keynote speeches from two West African women cocoa farmers and panel discussions with other inspirational women from the UK.
Fairtrade Fortnight, running from Monday 25 February – Sunday 10 March, sees a wide range of UK businesses from Waitrose & Partners to Divine backing Fairtrade’s cocoa campaign.
Fairtrade Fortnight is the highlight of the year for the Fairtrade movement in the UK and in 2019 it will run from Monday 25 February until Sunday 10 March. Fairtrade is also celebrating 25 years of Fairtrade in the UK.
This Fairtrade Fortnight, choose Fairtrade to be the change for producers worldwide.
The Fairtrade Foundation has reported a strong uplift in retail sales of Fairtrade products driven by its annual flagship campaign Fairtrade Fortnight which ran for the first time in September.
Fairtrade Fortnight – two weeks of events and awareness-raising about Fairtrade in the UK (9-22 September) – has concluded, with thousands of committed Fairtrade supporters turning out to support its ‘Be the Change’ Campaign.
Buying Fairtrade means farmers and workers earn a fair price for your favourite products like coffee, tea, bananas, and chocolate. It also means farmers earn an additional amount to invest in their farms and communities.
The Fairtrade Foundation is pleased to announce it has appointed Dr Nyagoy Nyong’o as the new Chair of its Board of Trustees, succeeding Lord Mark Price, whose term ended recently.
